IBPS PO Mains Exam Pattern 2023

The IBPS PO Mains Exam Pattern for 2023 has seen some changes:

Introduction of Descriptive Paper: Similar to the SBI PO Exam, IBPS now includes a Descriptive Paper in the Mains Examination. This section assesses candidates’ written skills, where they are required to write an essay and a letter. This section carries 25 marks and must be completed in 30 minutes.

Revised Time Allotment: The time allocated for each section has been adjusted.

No Separate Computer Aptitude Paper: Computer Aptitude and Reasoning have been combined into one section. This section contains 45 questions worth a total of 60 marks.

Negative Marking: There is a penalty of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer in the Objective Tests.

Extended exam duration: The overall time for the IBPS PO Mains 2023 Objective Exam has been extended from 140 minutes to 180 minutes, with an additional 30 minutes for the descriptive test. In total, the IBPS PO Mains exam now lasts for 3 hours and 30 minutes.

Section Split: The Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude, English Language, and Data Analysis & Interpretation tests are divided into two parts: Section A and Section B. All questions in both sections are compulsory, with some questions carrying 2 marks and others 1 mark.
